Real Dream-Catchers teach the wisdoms of the Seventh Fire, an Ojibwe Prophecy, that is being fulfilled at this moment. The Light-skinned Race is being shown the result of the Way of the Mind and the possibilities that reside in the Path of the Spirit. Real Dream-Catchers point the way. |

"Western civilization, unfortunately, does not link knowledge and morality but rather, it connects knowledge and power and makes them equivalent. Today with an information `superhighway' now looming on the horizon, we are told that a lack of access to information will doom people to a life of meaninglessness -- and poverty. As we look around and observe modern industrial society, however, there is no question that information, in and of itself, is useless and that as more data is generated, ethical and moral decisions are taking on a fantasy dimension in which a `lack of evidence to indict' is the moral equivalent of the good deed." - Vine Deloria I had found a small band of Modocs less than a mile from my home in Cave Junction, OR. They had erected a teepee in November and had been keeping a Sacred Fire going for nearly a year. I credit that Sacred Fire with saving my life. When I returned to Australia a few months later I was nearly killed by a half-drunk, crazy Aussie who had thrown me against a wall and to the floor where he put his foot across my throat, It took Mike's elderly mother and his 9-year old daughter to keep him off balance so he could not put his weight on my throat. That was the beginning of the end of my visit Down Under. My hostess, his mother, refused at first to change the locks to keep me safe. Great Spirit was watching, though. |
